JIM I AGREE WITH YOU THAT WE SHOULD CONTACT THE PROMOTERS ON TEC ISSUES. THAT BEING SAID WHY WOULDNT TEC BE CHECKING FOR THE SEALED MOTORS BEFORE THE RACE STARTS SO WE DONT TEAR UP THE CAR FOR NO REASON AND WASTE THE ENTRY FEE. I KNOW TEC HAS THERE HANDS FULL. JUST PUTTING IT OUT FOR DEBATE

DezertWife Photography is hard at work editing over 3000 photos from this race! Sadly, I was stuck at home with a kidney infection while my husband and our good friend, Cory, were out at the race taking photos. They did an awesome job! Racers, you all looked great out there! We have been putting up a bunch of teasers on facebook: [facebook.com] AND just started the upload to the website. It will take a few days for all the photos to upload. Thank you in advance for your patience!

Just a heads up that FAIR will running an open pit for all racers at the upcoming New Years 200. Heres your chance to try out the FAIR pit club without being a member. We encourage anyone to stop into our pit at MM11.5 (Inner Hodge Road) and well help you change your flat, look over your car, help out with fluids or just get your crew on the radio. Our hope is that you like our service enough to ask about joining our 40 year old club. As always we will monitor the FAIR channel 150.860 and can contact MORE relay for you as well. Thanks in advance and see you at the races.

Have you signed the Petition yet to Save Johnson Valley?
The link below is for a petition to help save Johnson Valley OHV. We need a minimum of 25,000 signatures to force the administration to publicly address this issue. You will have to "create an account". It's fast and easy. Please get involved. (anyone want to take bets on how long it takes for this post to be moved where no one will see it) [petitions.whitehouse.gov] we petition the Obama administration to: Save the Johnson Valley OHV Area. Be fiscally responsible. Stop 29 Palms Marine base expansion. Keep public lands open. With utmost respect for our nation’s military and national defense, we request our government deny any request by the US Marines to acquire 140K acres of public land designated for OHV use in Johnson Valley, CA for the purpose of expanding the 29 Palms Marine base. Expanding the world’s largest Marine base will cost tax payers millions and the Marines have publicly stated the land is only needed 2 months a year. Economic reports show neighboring communities and small businesses could lose $100 Million annually due to base expansion. The Marines current expansion plan is unnecessary and fiscally irresponsible. We request our government encourage the Marines to work with the public and obtain permits from the BLM to meet training objectives instead of closing this land to the public forever. Created: Jan 15, 2013 Issues: Defense, Economy, Environment

#1 GREEN STICKERS! These have always been required to race on BLM lands, its not something new. If you are racing a street legal car/truck that has a license plate that is o.k. but the tags on the plate must be current, if they are not you will need a green sticker or Off Road Sticker to race. Starting in January if you do not have either when you come thru tech you will need to buy a Off Road Sticker from the tech inspector and put in on your car/truck or you won't be allowed to race. The stickers are $30.00 and the money goes back to the Department Of Rarks and Recreation. #2. HELMETS! The only helmets legal to use for racing with M.O.R.E are Snell approved M2005, M2010, SA2005 & SA2010, we had several M2000 come thru and we had to turn them away. Don't be caught off guard, check them out so you don't have any surprises at the next race.
