Thank you for interest in recreating on Bureau of Land Management, Managed Public Lands. You can't obtain a fire permit by email or fax, it must be done it person. When will you arrive at Lucerne Valley? There may be BLM Staff you can obtain a permit from. You can also go by our Fire Station in Apple Valley and obtain a permit. If you should have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to email us or give our office a calling at (760) 252-600, our office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm we are closed weekends and holidays. Happy recreating to you. the permit is free

The BLM apparently has issued a Stage I fire restriction today 5-15-12 for the BLM land in Lucenre/Johnson Valley.
This fire restriction requires a permit for a BBQ or campfire for the race this weekend. For more information, or to obtain a permit, contact the BLM’s CDD office at (951) 697-5200, or local field offices in Barstow, (760) 252-6000; El Centro, (760) 337-4400; Needles, (760) 326-7000; Palm Springs-South Coast, (760) 833-7100; or Ridgecrest, (760) 384-5400.
Or see the thread on RDC: [ www.race-dezert.com]

Class 10
How do you feel about making it legal to run the 2.4 engine in Single seat. Please post here or e mail me.
Brett I will try to contact all the regular class 10 people that support M.O.R.E. tomorrow and Thursday and see how they feel about this. and will get back to you. a couple of years ago we let a car run in the Holiday race with a 2.4 and we caught hell for it. with the way thing are now we need all the cars we can get to keep going and I think that is why the other organization are letting you race now. but to be fair to our supporters I need to asked them. and I have not forgotten how much you have suppported M.O.R.E. in the past. I hope we can work this out. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,
we are ok with it, we would like to put a 2.4 in our car but have waited to see what MORE was going to do. but yes BITD and others do allow this. But we are good with it. Bechard Racing 1019

Holli Bechard Wednesday, April 25, 2012 09:50 PM Host: cpe-76-172-132-250.socal.res.rr.com
Let me rephrase, we do run a 2.2 and would love to get a 2.4 motor to run lucas races and a BITD race or two, so let us know if you change the rules. but Bechard Racing is ok with Brett running in the same class, I don't think we would get enough for a whole another class. Thanks everyone.

Jim,
We race a single seat class 10 car and would like to race class 10 at the Cal 500. BITD, SNORE and SCORE are now allowing this configuration for class 10. Can we race our car in class 10 in the Cal 500?

Where did you see this posted Brett? As far as I knew BITD was the only one allowing the 2.4 Ecotec in single seaters. If I'm wrong I take it back but just had not heard that info.

I didn't give a clear message. BITD, SNORE and SCORE are allowing single seat class 10 cars with a 2.4 ecotec to race in class 10. I wouldnt like to know if MORE will allow us to race class 10 in the Cal 500. Sorry for the confusion.

You are correct Kevin
After checking with BITD, SCORE & SNORE. Only BITD is allowing the 2.4 in single seat.
If there are some BITD cars with 2.4 motors that want to race we can run a second group for that. Snore has allowed some to race in single seat. but rules says same as Score.

Jim,
We talked to Savage (SCORE) and he said a single seat with a 2.4 could run class 10. That was a phone call. I don't know if they have made an official rule change at SCORE. SNORE let us run the single seat in class 10 at the Battle at Primm, but I also don't know if the rule change is official. So can we race class 10?
