The 13th Annual Powder Puff Race Towards a Cure will feature two days of racing in 2019.  There will be a short practice period on Friday (only female drivers, men allowed to co-drive), followed by Tech and Registration.  Saturday will be the traditional Powder Puff race featuring only female drivers and co-drivers.  Sunday will be open to both male and female drivers and co-drivers.  Powder Puff awards will be given out for Saturday's races, and additional trophies will be awarded for both Saturday and Sunday's races combined!  One entry fee gets your vehicle into both days of racing.

Important Announcements:

  • No Alcohol in the pits on race day!
  • All dogs must be on a leash
  • No pit bike or utv riding in the pits 
  • No glass bottles
  • UTVS must meet WORCS Safety Requirements
  • WORCS UTV Rulebook
  • MX / ATV Participants must have proper safety gear:
    1: Helmets - Helmets must be of the type approved by the Snell Memorial Foundation with a Snell or D.O.T sticker attached. Straps must have D-ring fasteners only. No snaps or Velcro will be permitted. The interior and exterior areas of the helmet must be free of defects. (i.e., the padding must be in good condition and the exterior of the helmet must not be damaged.) ORS strongly recommends that entrants use helmets specifically designed for racing.
    2: Protective Clothing - Protective clothing accessories are required to include but not limited to gloves, race pants, race jersey, boots.
    3: Eye protection - Shatter resistant eye protection is required for all motorcycle/quad entrants competing in an ORS event.
    4: Emergency Kill Switch - All ATV's must have a tether cord kill switch. Nerf bars or floor boards are required on all entrant vehicles. 

 

Gate Fees

  • All adults - $10
  • Children - $5 
  • Camping - $10 per vehicle

 

Entry Fees (1/2 of every entry fee will be donated to Cedars Sinai towards cancer research)

  • Sportsman MX / ATV Class * - $100
  • PRO MX / ATV Class - $200
  • Sportsman (Stock) UTV - $300
  • Pro UTV - $500
  • All buggy and truck classes - $600
  • Online Entry Fee Payment
  • Cash, Check, and Credit Cards will be accepted at TECH/Registration.

 * Sportsman MX Class only 1 morning heat each day.  All other classes feature 1 morning heat and 1 afternoon heat each day.

Trophies

  • 3 or less participants in class - 1st place trophy awarded
  • 4-5 participants in class - 1st & 2nd place trophies awarded
  • 6+ participants in class - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies awarded
  • Additional and lower place trophies can be ordered after the race
